Cairo-based deep tech company Intella has secured a landmark $12.5 million Series A funding round, marking a significant advancement in Egypt's pursuit of technological sovereignty and Arabic-language AI development. The oversubscribed round, led by Prosus, represents a strong vote of confidence in Egyptian innovation leadership.
Strengthening Egypt's Digital Independence
The funding round, which saw participation from prestigious investors including 500 Global and Wa'ed Ventures, positions Intella at the forefront of Egypt's growing digital sovereignty movement, particularly in Arabic language AI technology.
Strategic Investment for Regional Leadership
Following the path of other successful Egyptian tech ventures like 2B's expansion across North Africa, Intella plans to accelerate its R&D initiatives and scale its AI solutions throughout the Arabic-speaking world.
"This round is a catalyst for our product roadmap. Our models already set the benchmark for Arabic accuracy," stated Omar Mansour, Co-founder and CTO of Intella.
