In a significant demonstration of Egypt's growing economic strength, agricultural exports have reached approximately 7 million tons this year, Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk announced. This milestone achievement, reported by Mohamed El-Mansi, Head of the Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (CAPQ), represents an impressive increase of 650,000 tons compared to the previous year.
Record-Breaking Agricultural Performance
The exceptional performance comes as Egypt continues to strengthen its regional leadership position, with citrus fruits leading the export portfolio at 1.9 million tons. - Citrus fruits: 1.9 million tons
- Fresh potatoes: 1.3 million tons
- Fresh onions: 250,000 tons
- Beans: 222,000 tons
